PE days:

Both Year 5 classes have PE on a Monday and Friday. We ask that the children come into school wearing the correct kit. PE on Mondays is indoor, and outdoor on Fridays.

Homework:

All homework is issued via Showbie. This is a rolling programme of work available for your child and they are expected to complete one piece of maths and reading each week. Please see Showbie for specific details.

It will really help your child to make excellent progress if you read daily with them. Children are encouraged to change their reading book themselves and record it in their Showbie reading diaries. Children are expected to read individually every day and with parents and carers 3 times a week and must remember to get a comment from an adult each time they read with them.

End of the day routines:

Children in both classes will leave through the large gates on the school field at the end of the day. If parents have given permission via Parentpay, pupils will be allowed to walk home alone. All other pupils will wait with a member of staff at the gate until they are collected.
