Support at Home
In Years 2- 6, all maths lessons are put onto Showbie, an on-line platform that can be accessed from any device, and therefore can be reviewed at home. All pupils from Year 2 – 6 have a 1-to-1 device, which most take home thus giving easy accessibility to the daily lessons.
In KS2, all pupils also photograph their work completed in maths lessons and upload it to their Showbie folder. This means that parents can see the work that their child has completed in lessons as well as seeing the teacher’s marking. This allows for transparency and the opportunity for parents/carers to support children’s progress at home.
Children from Year 2 also have a Times Tables Rockstar account and the app on their iPad to help them rehearse their multiplication facts at home.
Weekly maths homework is added to Showbie for parents to work alongside their child.
