Lawley Primary School and Nursery

I was delighted to accept the invitation to become a co-opted Governor from Februrary 2026. The school holds a special place for me as I taught here at the beginning of my teaching career, and it feels particularly meaningful to now be involved again as my grandson has joined Reception from September 2025.

Having recently retired from my role as Deputy Headteacher in a primary school, I am very pleased to be able to use my experience and skills to support the continued success and values of the school. During my career I have had particular responsibility for curriculum planning, Early Reading and phonics, behaviour leadership, and promoting the wellbeing of both staff and children.

I have always believed that the most important aim in education is to inspire children to feel safe, happy, and excited about learning. It is wonderful to see the commitment the school shows in creating opportunities for every child to thrive, and I look forward to supporting the school community in any way I can.
