I have a son who attends Lawley Primary, and I became a parent governor in 2021. I applied for the position as I’d seen how well my son has done since starting at the school, and I was keen to get more involved in the education he and his peers receive.
I currently run a small baking business from home in Lawley, and have used this to become more involved in the local community. For me, being a governor is another way of supporting and giving back to the local community.
