Lawley Primary School

"Planting the seeds, growing the future"

Morning routines

In Year 3, we will build on the independence your child gained when they were in Year Two and expect them to come into class on their own. They will need to find their assigned locker number and put their belongings inside. They must remember to bring their fully charged iPad, together with their reading diary and reading book into the class with them.

Home/ school communication:

You are able to contact the teaching staff directly via email or through the school office.

PE days:

Both Year 3 classes have PE on Tuesday and Friday (Swimming). We ask that the children come in to school on a Wednesday wearing their PE kit and bring their swimming kit in on a Friday.

Homework:

All homework will be issued via Mirodo and pupils are expected to work on the individually set tasks for both Maths and English tasks on this platform each week.

It will really help your child to make excellent progress if you read daily with them. Children must inform the teacher or teaching assistant when they are ready to change their reading book and a new book will be issued to them on the return of the previous.  All reading at home should be recorded in their online reading diary.

End of the day routines:

Children will be released from the classroom doors at the end of the school day.

Please note that we can only send children home with parents, unless we have received a message via the office.
